Tony Gomez
DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH
Coach Tony Gomez from Deep Creek, Virginia, was discovered by a major club team as a 7-year-old dribbling a ball on the sidelines of his big brother’s soccer game. Soccer runs in the blood of the Gomez family, and those roots are deep. Since childhood, Tony has been tagging along with his big brothers throughout their ECNL, D1 college, and pro-level soccer careers. So, it's no surprise that once hitting the pitch, he too was making a name for himself in the game of soccer.

Tony has many notable achievements on his resume to include playing D1 as the headlining kicker for Norfolk State University, State Soccer Team member, ECNL level player, and the list goes on. Tony is a former college Soccer Coach, current middle/high school coach with ECPPS, and possesses his National High School coaching license. As a full-time middle school teacher, it is obvious that Tony has a gift for connecting with children. This dedicated husband and father of 3 has big dreams and a matched drive to take soccer in Northeastern North Carolina to the next level.

Coach Stephan Bill is the U19 Boys Coach, the Weeksville Elementary Soccer Team Coach, and an educator with ECPPS. Originally from Germany, he fell in love with soccer at a young age while living there. In 2005, Stephan and his wife Elizabeth moved from New York to North Carolina, where their two children were born in Fayetteville in 2009 and 2011. Both kids have been playing soccer since they could walk, and the game has become a central part of their family’s life.

Stephan played soccer throughout high school in the U.S. until knee injuries sidelined him, but he later enjoyed competing in adult leagues across North Carolina. His passion for the sport carried into coaching, and he has been guiding his children’s teams since they were four years old.

Soccer truly runs in the family—his son currently plays on the U16 and U19 teams, his daughter plays on the U17–U19 team, and both also represent their local high school. His wife, Elizabeth, was once a state champion goalkeeper in New York.

Today, Stephan channels his love for the game into coaching with Carolina United, the Weeksville Elementary team, and the ECPPS elementary league.
